A show is only ever as good as the people attending and the things to see and do – and luckily we had it all! From the bustling stands offering all those Land Rover goodies to the welcoming club displays providing eye-candy and chat alongside that all action arena – we're proud and humbled to say that this was our best show yet.
A massive shout out goes to Land Rover themselves, not only for providing a fantastic line up of pristine vehicles for all of us to drool over, including a demonstration of the 542bhp Range Rover SVR, but also for hosting fascinating talks with the legendary line-up of Roger ‘Mr. Land Rover’ Crathorne, Monty Halls, Michael Bishop, Nick Rogers and Alex Heslop.
A huge thank you also goes to Bowler and Edd Cobley, who delivered sublime motoring action in our live action arena powered by Odyssey Battery, establishing the Defender as a rally icon and proving to unbelievers that it can practically do anything – even leaving our Diana Tigwell speechless!
Vince Cobley and his team at the LRO Adventure Club team put in a massive effort creating and then marshalling one of the best off-road courses we've ever had, just up the road at Yarwell. Feedback has been brilliant, with loads of drivers paying to go around again.
For providing incredible suspension-twisting and the setting for the driver skill shoot-out, we must thank John Lawn and Flatdog. Polybush also hosted a fascinating rebuild by the Manic Mechanics in the Live Rebuild tent, and sponsored our Best of Show Club awards, while Nene Overland held a fantastic evening barbecue around a toasty Series Land Rover, and Kahn unveiled their 6x6 Defender Flying Huntsman, adding a dollop of excitement to an already adrenaline packed show.
The variety of clubs attending this year was superb, providing a vast range of pristine and striking Land Rovers to keep us endlessly fascinated. Some club members had travelled formidable distances to be with us all for 2015, and to you we extend a special recognition for upholding the Land Rover spirit of adventure in the final Year of the Defender.
And finally, to all of you epic people who passed through the gates, thank you. You're what made it happen.
Until next year, keep those Land Rovers rolling, and don’t forget to share your highlights with us on Facebook and Twitter!
